Shipping: Minimum shipping services for these ants:

USPS - Priority Mail or Ground Advantage (Nothing over 3 days shipping time can be used.)

UPS - Ground, only if 1-3 day shipping is an option.

In most cases, USPS is the option chosen for shipping ant colonies.  NOTE:  Priority Mail Shipping IS NOT NEXT DAY SERVICE.  If you prefer the fastest delivery option for USPS shipping, choose Express Shipping.  This is the best option for speed of service.  Some locations will still not be 1 day shipping through Express.  Since the pandemic shipping times have been slower than USPS standard times, but we still have a very good success rate shipping ants through USPS. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU PLAN FOR SOMEONE TO RETRIEVE YOUR LIVE ANTS SHORTLY AFTER THEY ARE DELIVERED.

We guarantee the live arrival of all our ant colonies.  Our part is to raise healthy colonies with the queens worker ants included, package them safely (we use 6 layers of protection inside), and ship them with minimum shipping speeds (see above).  We check the weather each order that is shipped with live ants, and further insulate and add ice packs as needed/required.  As the receiver of live ants, your part to make sure your guarantee is fulfilled :

1. Strongly recommend unboxing video. At minimum, please provide photos of the issue.  This covers everyone involved with the delivery.  There are numerous scams that can be done with live arrival guarantee (both ways), and this unboxing video helps to limit this.  Thank you for taking the time to do this! 

2. Contact us immediately.  Please keep the information provided relevant and cordial, as will we! You will be able to see how much care goes into the shipping and care of these ant colonies, and we want very much to ensure you get a prompt replacement if the situation calls for it.  If it is within normal business hours (12-9pm EST) call or text is fine.  After hours, please email tarheelants@gmail.com with photos and videos if possible. 

3. Wait for us to contact you, and we will get any issues resolved promptly.

What comes with this package?  PDF Guide For Recommended Care and Maintenance, Camponotus castaneus colony with queen and workers (8-15 and eggs, larvae, pupae), Fallen Fortress and all accessories for the formicarium needed for normal operation.

When do we ship ants?  Generally ants are shipped on Monday, Tuesday, and Saturdays with some exceptions.  Express Mail packages are not shipped on Saturday unless they are 2-day Express shipping.

***The Fallen Fortress part of this bundle takes approximately 2-3 weeks to make from scratch.  We do have some Ready To Ship versions available (premade).  These can be found at this link here.  If you want one of these versions used in your bundle, please indicate this by using the comments box when checking out and type in the model number from the Ready To Ship pages.  If there are additional charges for the specific version you choose, we will contact you by email or phone prior to shipping.  The standard version is 75.99 for the Fallen Fortress.  If the one you chose goes above that price, we will send you an invoice for the remainder.
