Taraxacum officinale, or Dandelion seeds, have been the number one choice for all of the Pogonomyrmex occidentalis colonies we have raised. These seeds are preferred by all harvester ants over other commercially available seeds, and produce better growth by a significant margin over the runner ups.

How long will one bag last?
The smaller bag would, for the size of colonies we have available (15-30 workers) would last for several months at the current size, however they will continue to grow so as the colony increases in numbers you may find you need seeds faster than this time.
The larger bag would last approximately one year.
